My name is Victoria Sue Pierce, and I go by Victoria, or Tori. I just turned 21 on October 24. I live in Goodfield, Illinois, which is about 2.5 hours from Chicago! If you have never been, you definitely need to go, and stop by Goodfield on the way!! :) I know God can do miracles, through experience..something everyone doesn't know about me is I was deaf when I was born. The doctors did every test and I didn't react, then the church prayed for me and anointed me with oil and a couple weeks later I went back to doctor and was fine. :) Nothing is impossible!
I love my family, so I'll tell you about them first! I live at home still, with my dad - 44, mom - 42, sister - 24 with her husband and new baby that was born on Jan 1, another sister - 22, and a brother - 15. We adopted my brother about ten years ago. My sister and bro ther in law moved into our house the end of last year with of course the cutest nephew, as well as their two labs. We also have a standard poodle, teacup yorkie, and then this past July I bought a labradoodle named Mia. She's the best, and the cutest! :) One set of my grandparents live two houses down from us, which is awesome, while my other set lives about half an hour away. Being an aunt is the absolute best, he stole my heart before he was born, but definitely when I got to see his face!!
I was raised up in a Assemblies of God church, nondemoninational. I have been trying out a few churches recently to finding the right church that fits me. :) I also have been going to a college group, and a bible study about becoming the Godly woman for my future husband! :)
I feel like I'm rambling..
Igraduated from Eureak High School in 2009. In high school I just played volleyball! The next fall 2009 I went to Waxahachie, TX for that semester, then moved right back! God really made me rely on him during that time, because of all the spare time I had. Spring of 2010, I was home and started going to Illinois Central College, which is a community college, and am in my last semester there. I have credits to be a junior, but haven't started my major. I will be going to Illinois State University in the Fall and majoring Math, I then want to get my masters and possibly phd in Math Education to be a college professor! Interesting I know, sometimes I wonder why I'm majoring in math!
I have worked at the Apostolic Christian Home for 4 years in March with Demetia residents, and I love my job!! The past two years I have helped my former volleyball coach, as the assistant Varsity Coach. I love shopping, and am working on fixing my little shopping habit, addiction? idk! but I haven't shopped for awhile. Pretty proud of myself. :)
First and foremost, I am a Huuuge NASCAR Fan!!!! Jimmie Johnson. :) then of course I love the Pittsburgh Steelers in footbal!! Best two sports to watch! Hard to watch the other sports. :)
I hate the cold, needs to be warm all year round, always say I'm going to move to the warmth where they don't know what snow is. Preferably by the beach!! love the beach. One thing I wish is that I was a better cook, I can bake, most of the time, but cooking..yaa...I need help! :) could tell many funny stories of cooking and baking! I never liked to bake until I started working at the home, now I do alot! Especially if I have someone to wash the dishes because I hate the dishes!! I love movies. Grumpy/Grumpier Old Men, are def my favorite movies! I quote quite often, if you haven't seen, you def need too!! I love Disney movies!! Love being outside in the summer, we love to boat, camp, jet ski, lay out in the pool, absolutely love the summer days! I have crazy things that I want to do in life - sky dive, bungee jump, go on a safari, swim with sharks in a metal cage, fly alll over the world, and thats just a few! :)
The only missions I have been involved is is Mission Peoria, which is in downtown Peoria, in the "ghetto" and we have VBS as well as games throughout the neighborhood and I love that! I have always wanted to go on a bigger missions trip, but never found the right one! A couple years ago I was talking to my former youth pastors and they were talking about their heart for human trafficking, and ever since then I have always wanted to help those involved and forced into it. God is going to work alot in me during this trip, as well as others and I am more than ready to see what he has planned!
